CPI Training for Recertification (Blended Class)
This CPI training is for those seeking their annual recertification and prefer a blended class format. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training prepares participants to prevent and de-escalate medium to high-risk behavior using both restrictive and non-restrictive methods. CPI’s framework introduces a 4-step process for turning crises into an opportunity for positive outcomes. Participants will learn how to create a plan for objectively responding to high-risk behavior, reducing the chance of severe outcomes. Additionally, this training allows participants to explore the effects of trauma and the psychology of the brain on the person in crisis and the responding individual.
* Blended classes will require self-paced modules to be completed prior to the in-person 1⁄2 day trainings. If you do not have the modules completed prior to the in-person portion, you will not be allowed to participate in the in-person portion.
